The Global Arts Corps is a Colonnades Theatre Lab, Inc. project, a development center for international theatre, founded in 1973 by Michael Lessac in NYC. It is incorporated as a non-profit 501(c)(3). In 2005, Colonnades Theatre Lab, Inc. established a sister South African non-profit Section 21 company, dedicated to using the perceptual power of theater as an agent of change in societies moving from conflict to peace.
In France, Global Arts Corps has also been established as a 1901 Association, l'Association Française de Global Arts Corps.
