Julia Dearden

Julia Dearden has worked for numerous theatre companies in Ireland and England: from the National Theatre, the RSC and the Royal Court in England to the Glasgow Citizens Theatre in Scotland.

Her theatre work includes The Bloody Sunday Inquiry, Laughter of Our Children, Loyal Women
and Shadow of a Gunman, while her work in film includes Cal, Titanic Town, The Most Fertile Man In Ireland and Oranges and Lemons. On television, Julia has appeared in The Billy Plays, and most recently appeared in series one of The Fall for the BBC. She is currently filming series two.

Julia started her career in community theatre. Her work with Global Arts Corps is a return to the work she values most highly. She is a cast member in Global Arts Corps’ Hold Your Tongue, Hold Your Dead and previously worked with Global Arts Corps in South Africa. She lives in Belfast.
