Sonny Chheng

Sonny is a management consultant who has worked with multinationals, government agencies, and nonprofits to improve their organizational culture, lead change efforts, and modernize their talent strategies. He advises on the people implications of multiple issues, including M&A, spinoffs, strategy shifts, and digital. Sonny recently served as a Partner with Deloitte Consulting’s Human Capital practice as well as Partner with Ernst & Young’s People Advisory Services. He has held various leadership roles including Global Culture Transformation Leader, Strategic Change Leader, and Advisor to the Global CEO.

He has researched, written, and published thought leadership that seek to champion a more human-centered approach to management. His high-tech/human-centered philosophy is reflected in a portfolio of research that includes: Unleashing Human Power to Do the Extraordinary; Culture and the Alternative Workforce; Take Your Corporate Culture off Cruise Control; Shape Culture: Drive Strategy.

Sonny holds a B.A. in Economics from Harvard University and a M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Sonny is a survivor of the Khmer Rouge genocide. He spent several years in refugee camps in Thailand and Indonesia before immigrating to the United States in the 1980s.
